How to tell if your laptop battery is really the problem?
If your laptop is giving you a warning message that you need to replace your battery you can skip the troubleshooting and order a battery.
If your computer will not turn on without a battery while it is plugged into the wall outlet you probably have a hardware problem other than the battery.
If your laptop does work without the battery while it is plugged in you are likely experiencing a battery failure.
